Florida Manatee Festival Announces New Parking locations for 2024 Festival.

Crystal River, FL01-11-24 – As the much-anticipated Florida Manatee Festival approaches this -weekend, we wish to inform our attendees of important changes to our parking arrangements. Due to the acquisition and ongoing construction at the former Crystal River Mall, previously a primary parking location for our festival, we have secured new and convenient parking options to ensure a seamless experience for all festival-goers.

General Parking:

  1. Crystal River High School: Free parking and shuttle services are now available at Crystal River High School, located at 3195 Crystal River High Dr, Crystal River, FL 34428. Attendees can access the parking area from both Northeast 8th Street and N. Turkey Oak Dr. Shuttle buses will ferry visitors directly to the festival grounds, allowing for a hassle-free start to their day of fun.
  2. West Citrus Government Building: In addition to the high school, the festival is also offering additional free parking and shuttle services at the West Citrus Government Building, situated at 1540 N Meadowcrest Blvd, Crystal River, FL 34429. The entrance for this parking area is accessible from Hwy 44. This location is commonly known to locals as the site of the DMV & Tax Collector's Offices.

Handicap-Accessible Parking:

The festival is committed to ensuring accessibility for all. Free handicap-accessible parking and shuttle services will be available at the Crystal River High School Football field located off West Crystal Street. The entrance to this parking area is situated between Northeast 8th Street and the Coastal Regions Library. Those unfamiliar with the area can map the Coastal Regions Library at 8619 W Crystal St, Crystal River, FL 34428 and use the entrance just west of the library. Clear signage will be posted along the road to guide visitors.

Important Reminder:

The Florida Manatee Festival strongly encourages attendees to utilize these parking and shuttle services and avoid parking downtown. Downtown parking is limited, and by choosing these complimentary designated parking areas, festival-goers help ensure safety and reduce congestion, making the event enjoyable for everyone.

We look forward to seeing you this weekend for a celebration of one of Florida's most cherished natural wonders – the manatee!
