Jeffrey has been teaching guitar, piano and voice classes in Citrus County and Ocala for the last ten years, his talented students perform regularly in the community at nursing homes, local restaurants and the Crystal River Mall; they are also actively involved in school music and drama programs and in student leadership and volunteering. Several of Jeffrey’s former students have continued to pursue music at the collegiate level and have gone on to perform as adults and even continue in music education careers.

The Lecanto Jazz Band

The Pride of Lecanto High School Jazz Band was reestablished in the spring of 2017. The last prior Jazz Band at Lecanto High School was under the direction of Mr. Stephen Alia back in 1997. The current Jazz Band is under the direction of Mr. Bobby Crane, who brought the Jazz Band program back to Lecanto High School. The Jazz Band has performed at many venues since its return including the grand opening of the Lecanto Wendy’s and at the Crystal River Mall for the 2020 Citrus County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade mixer. The program consists of some of the top musicians from Lecanto High School.
